One of the world’s most iconic brands – Rolls-Royce – will celebrate its 115th birthday with the creation of a bespoke red Phantom that will be auctioned off by Sotheby’s.
To celebrate this landmark birthday, the quintessentially British luxury carmaker decided to collaborate with the auction-house to create this collectors dream car. This promises to be the ultimate in luxury and style.
It doesn’t get more luxurious than a bespoke 2020 Rolls-Royce Phantom. While there are limited details about the car design, it has confirmed that the colour will be a bright and brave red and it will include an “original hand-crafted leatherwork of art” as part of the interior.
A ‘regular’ Rolls-Royce Phantom costs approximately €450,000 but as this is a collector's item the sky is the limit when it comes to price and it is likely to reach a value far surpassing €1m. The collector car will sell through a Sotheby’s online auction and it will attract bids from all across the world as it will be a one-off opportunity.
The anniversary celebration comes along on foot of news that Rolls-Royce has also shown the world its latest “Collection Car’, the Wraith Eagle VIII and just 50 will be made. The car’s name comes from Captain John Alcock and Lieutenant Arthur Brown’s first non-stop transatlantic flight in June 1919. The pair flew in a modified First World War Vickers Vimy bomber aircraft which was powered by Rolls-Royce Eagle VIII aircraft engines.
When it comes to objects of desire, Rolls-Royce is still the choice for visionaries and is one of the jewels of the crown in international luxury.
