Perched on the cliffs of Kefalonia, this traditional stone house is subject to some of the most beautiful views of the Ionian sea. And with stone steps leading down to a coastal path and a beach around 100m from your door, you can see why this villa caught our eye. Though keeping with tradition might mean that some of the decor feels a little dated – something that might not appeal to everyone – the terrace with a private pool, wood-fired oven, old well, and telescope puts most of the focus outside. Plus, there's an additional guest house with a kitchenette and living room that's perfect for guests who need extra privacy.

*The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*As there are stairs to climb here, it might not be suitable for those with reduced mobility.
*The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*One of the bedrooms can be found in the guesthouse. It would be ideal for guests who need a little more privacy.
