Helmsley is just over 5 miles away and is renowned for its galleries, boutique shops and artisan delis. Walk or cycle one of the many scenic trails in the national park (2 miles). This stunning area is criss crossed by hiking and biking trails and filled with sights to delight nature lovers and wildlife watchers. Head south to the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (5.5 miles) for more incredible views. For golfers, pack your clubs and get a round in at Kirkbymoorside Golf Club.
