No visit to North Yorkshire would be complete without a trip to York, which is 13.5 miles away, including the impressive Minster, castle, and city walls. North Yorkshire is also home to magnificent country houses, and Castle Howard (14 miles) is a must see attraction and the starting point for some lovely walks in the Howardian Hills National Landscape.
