Families can enjoy a variety of activities at Whinlatter Forest Park, which offers walking and cycling paths through the trees. Additionally, there are several nearby towns to explore, including Cockermouth (6 miles), Whitehaven on the coast (9 miles), and the popular tourist destination of Keswick (18 miles), known as the adventure capital of the Lakes with its array of outdoor speciality shops. Large cars will need here to park as they will not fit in the garage.
