Just 6.5 miles away, the historic town of Maryport boasts Georgian and Victorian architecture, a lively harbour, the Senhouse Roman Museum, and the Lake District Coast Aquarium. The nearby village of Allonby, located 3 miles away, features a stunning 5 mile beach and scenic coastal trails. The region is home to several pristine beaches and excellent golf courses. Further inland, Cockermouth (9 miles), is renowned as the birthplace of poet William Wordsworth and offers a gateway to the Lake District, with a 14 mile drive to Bassenthwaite Lake Station. Heading through the front door you are welcomed into the spacious hallway, perfect for hanging up coats and kicking off your boots after a day at the beach.
