This charming, large village sits in between the scenic Pendle Hill and the Forest of Bowland AONB in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. Whalley displays a number of examples of remarkable architecture including the Whalley Viaduct and the 14th century abbey ruins with its stunning gatehouse. In terms of amenities, enjoy a selection of shops and pubs, a golf club also lies on the outskirts of the village, whilst the Stonyhurst College, one of the top private schools in the county is close by.
