The dining area has seating for two people, where you can enjoy a lovely romantic meal together.

The kitchen has all the appliances you need for a weekend in the countryside.

Upstairs has one king-size bedroom with ample storage space for your personal items.

The grounds are open to the public most days of the year.

It is often used for conferences, weddings and religious retreats, but makes for a wonderful historical attraction for tourists.

WHALLEY

Clitheroe 3 miles; Ribble Valley 10 miles.

This charming, large village sits in between the scenic Pendle Hill and the Forest of Bowland AONB in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. Whalley displays a number of examples of remarkable architecture including the Whalley Viaduct and the 14th century abbey ruins with its stunning gatehouse. In terms of amenities, enjoy a selection of shops and pubs, a golf club also lies on the outskirts of the village. Nearby there are plenty of attractive market towns to be explored with their charming shops, pubs and architecture; Clitheroe and Burnley are two of the closest and more popular. The west coast at Blackpool is also within driving distance should you fancy a traditional day trip to the seaside.
