On the ground floor, you'll find a minimalist open layout that's tailor-made for sociable stays, with plenty of space for everyone to sink into one of the comfortable sofas, play board games around the dining table and prepare family meals in the kitchen. Make the most of sunny days and step through the sliding doors and out into the garden, with its wooden deck and stepping stones winding between raised flower beds.

Its four bedrooms are split between the ground and first floors. The upstairs bedrooms are decked out in trendy OSB, which does away with the need for plastering and painting and adds a warm glow that only natural materials can bring.

The nearby beach is the undoubted star of your stay. However, there's plenty more to discover within a short drive. East Wittering is well-catered for when it comes to cafes, pubs and stocking up on essentials. Thrill seekers might like to book themselves a kitesurfing lesson, with kayaking and paddleboarding offering slightly more sedate options.

A little under 10 miles away, the pedestrianised centre of the cathedral city of Chichester is a pleasant place to while away an afternoon. Alternatively, listen to the roar of the engines at Goodwood's iconic motor racing circuit or the shouts of the crowds urging on their picks at Goodwood Racecourse.
