Located in the heart of Watchet, a charming coastal town in Somerset, 48 Swain Street offers delightful holiday accommodation for up to 8 guests. Spread across three floors, this characterful holiday home is carefully designed to ensure a luxurious and memorable stay. With a modern yet cosy ambiance, it provides an ideal setting for family holidays or group getaways.

The property features four bedrooms, including two with super king-size beds that can be converted into twin beds upon request, and two with king-size beds. All bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms that feature slipper baths and separate walk-in showers. Linen and towels are provided, although guests are requested to bring their own beach towels.

In addition to the comfortable bedrooms, the property also boasts a large kitchen with a breakfast table, a spacious living and dining room, and a range of amenities that will make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Conveniently located in the centre of Watchet, the property is just a short distance from the harbour, the inspiring East Quay gallery, and a range of pubs, restaurants, and shops. For those interested in hiking and sightseeing, both the Quantock Hills (AONB) and Exmoor National Park are within easy reach.

Please note that pets are not allowed on the premises. Check-in is available from 4 pm, and guests are requested to depart by 10 am.

Facilities
The ground floor has a well-equipped kitchen including a small breakfast table with four chairs at one end. Appliances include a washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and a free-standing fridge-freezer. There’s also a good selection of cook books if you need inspiration, and useful items for days out such as flasks and picnic hampers.

The separate sitting-dining room is just across the hall on the ground floor, with the original 'shop window' onto the road outside - the lower windows are frosted for privacy, but you can still discreetly watch the world go by out of the upper windows. The dining table comfortably seats eight, and at the opposite end of the room are two, four seater sofas and two of armchairs, so there's plenty of room for everyone to relax together at the end of the day. There’s a good stock of books and board games, a smart TV with Freeview and a PlayStation 4 with a selection of games to suit all.

There is also a cloakroom on the ground floor, comprising toilet and hand basin.

The bedrooms are all upstairs, two on the first floor and two on the second floor. All four bedrooms are roomy and benefit from an en-suite, each comprising slipper bath and a separate walk in shower, toilet and hand basin. Within each room is a wardrobe and dressing table, a television and hairdryer facilities. Each room is individually decorated with a mural, pictures from the National or Portrait galleries. All the rooms have comfy beds, with white ‘high quality’ linen. Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds (5') the other two are super king-size (6') which can be made up as twin beds upon request. Location
Watchet is a picturesque town nestled on the West Somerset coastline. With Exmoor to the East, the Brendon Hills to the South and the Quantocks to the West, it is a great spot for exploring the local area.

Watchet is a small but friendly town which packs a lot in. It has an active Marina, Steam train station, Old Port, museums, shops, restaurants, pubs and takeaways! The East quay hosts a fascinating array of exhibitions. Local, national and international artists exhibit here and are a number of artists in residence at the Containers and in the main thoroughfare where you can look at their work , chat and if you feel desiring of their work, can invest!

There are two museums in Watchet . The Boat museum up by the Tourist Information Centre opposite the entrance to the Steam railway and Market House Museum by the Esplanade.

For the Anglers amongst you there are daily sea fishing trips that head out from the Marina, just enquire at The Marina office.

Watchet is a great place for the bargain hunters amongst you. There is an Antiques shop at one end of the town and upstairs in the Marina is 'Rogers', a fascinating "Aladdin's cave" of collectables as is the Smugglers.

There are many walks, along the Mineral Line, up and around the Church and along the rope walk, across to Doniford Beach. Or if you prefer to people watch, you can just sit and take in the charm of the Esplanade and the Marina.
