The nearby town of Barnstaple offers access to the Tarka Trail and cycle hire, and an array of amenities including the characterful Pannier Market, or jump on the Oldenburg at Bideford and you can and enjoy a day trip to Lundy Island. Beach lovers are also well catered for with Instow, Croyde, Woolacombe and Westward Ho!, all accessible from here. The pretty coastal villages at Hartland and Clovelly are also well worth a visit. Alternatively, closer to home the vibrant market town of South Molton boasts an array of amenities, and just a little further afield Exmoor National Park offers stunning scenery and walking terrain. Other attractions in the area include RHS Rosemoor, Tapeley Park, Arlington Court and Dartington Crystal. Or why not bring your bikes access the traffic free Tarka Trail which is only a stones throw from the cottage. A flight of stone steps leas you to the front door and inside this pretty property where the accommodation immediately opens into a beautifully spacious and light open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Here comfortable sofas sit in front of a TV with DVD, and this lovely sociable space provides the perfect place to relax in style after a day exploring. The kitchen area is perfectly equipped with all the essentials including an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Venturing up the stairs and onto the first floor you will discover the beautiful bedrooms, both having been lovingly styled with a contemporary country aesthetic. These comprise of a king size and a twin bedroom, completing the offering on this floor is a contemporary bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Heading outside and located to the rear of the cottage there is a small enclosed patio area with garden furniture and BBQ which provides the perfect place to dine alfresco during warm weather. The gardens between the other self catering cottages are separated by picket fences with gates which can be opened should you wish to socialise with your neighbours! Shared on site facilities include a children s play area and a rustic play barn which is overlooked by internal summer house with seating and coffee making facilities, with access to 18 acre grounds with a dog exercise paddock and cut walkways leading to idyllic seating areas. Or why not relax with a good book in one of the hammocks on the Alpaca field overlooking Dartmoor? Or perhaps have evening drinks admiring the view from the South West facing sun terrace. There is also an alpaca walking experience which can be booked with the owner directly at an additional cost. Private off road parking is provided for 1 car.
