  • "Burrow House was ideal for our extended family of 8 adults, a 3 year old and a 1 year old."

The family with children had the downstairs bedroom so they didn't disturb others if they got up early and could use the kitchen, dining room, conservatory, living room, snug/playroom and their own shower room. The 1 year old loved the garden and had to check for birds there every day. We got used to the gas fired Aga that also operated the hot water and heating systems and cooked in it every day. I walked the short distance to the well stocked and friendly Tywardreath Village Store most days to buy bread etc - they were open 7am - 7pm (9-4 on Sundays) Also took the children to the play park, just around the corner in the estate. Only the family with children had a car. It was awkward getting into the tight drive when they arrived in the dark, but fine after that. The rest of us arrived by train to Par Station, 20 minutes walk away up or down Tehidy Road. The facilities and decoration of Burrow House were excellent. We would definitely like to return. There was a problem with the shower over the bath upstairs and the owner got a plumber to look at it. However the bath itself was fine, as was the shower downstairs.
