Area
Tregaron, in the Welsh county of Ceredigion, is a picturesque old market town midway between the larger cities of Ty'n-yr-eithin and Llanddewi-Brefi. Popular outdoor activities in the area include walking, cycling, and mountain biking, while the town itself features a number of interesting sights like the Tregaron Red Kite Museum, the Tregaron Playground, and scenic strolls along the Afon Brennig. There are several places to eat, such as the well-liked Riverbank Café and Farm Shop, Coffi a Bara, and several takeout joints, and you can get groceries at the farm shop or the local convenience stores. Visit the Lampeter Museum and enjoy a meal at one of Lampeter's warm and inviting restaurants like the Castle Green Inn, The Nags Head, or Shapla Tandoori before heading on to the next stop. The next stop is Aberaeron, where you can enjoy a plethora of activities and facilities, such as the Aberaeron Festival of Welsh Ponies and Cobs and the Aberaeron Beach and Swimmping Pool. Visit Aberystwyth, which is not far away, to see the Michelin-starred SY23 restaurant and other attractions including the Amgueddfa Ceredigion Museum and the grounds of Aberystwyth Castle.
Nearby there are some superb attractions to visit. Rousham Hall is very close by and although there are restrictions to visiting etc, it is a beautiful stately home. Oxford,'The city of the Dreaming Spires' and colleges is just 15 mins by car. There are literally hours of things to do there! For the determined shopper, Bicester Village which is a vast outlet centre.
Woodstock has a good range of local pubs, along with restaurants, shops and stores while the famous Blenheim Palace, home to the Duke of Malborough is well worth a day trip.
