Minchinhampton is one of the Cotswolds secret treasures, a charming market town surrounded by stunning countryside and National Trust common land. The heart of the town remains almost unaltered with its narrow streets and pretty Cotswold stone cottages, many dating back to the 17th century. The peaceful, picture postcard hilltop town has a small selection of shops, cafes, a vibrant country pub and a weekly market. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, you are well placed for walking, situated on the edge of Minchinhampton Common with its breath taking panoramic views across the Golden Valley. The common is a designated site of special scientific interest and is has been home to the famous golf course since 1889. Enjoy exploring the many nearby Cotswold towns including Cirencester, Painswick, Tetbury, and Nailsworth with a wealth of dining options and independent stores. The cottage is well situated for visiting the many Cotswold towns and villages as well as the spa towns of Bath and Cheltenham. The area is also well served with a wealth of National Trust properties and gardens that are open throughout the year, along with Westonbirt Arboretum with changing colours throughout the year. Step away from village life and through the gate into the enclosed walled garden, ahead of you a pretty 1800 character cottage awaits, step inside to the cosy lounge with beamed ceilings, exposed stone and inglenook fire place with a warming wood burner, a sofa and two fireside chairs sit perfectly where you can enjoy a good movie on the TV. Step up into the kitchen/diner where the new cottage style kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, Tassimo coffee machine and washer/dryer. Here you will also find a DAB Bluetooth radio. There is a table and chairs set to the side with views onto a small courtyard that's perfect for a morning coffee.
