To the outside is a lawned garden patio with furniture and barbecue, as well as off-road parking for three cars. Carver's Rest is an excellent base for families or groups of friends looking to explore this scenic part of Nottinghamshire.

The rural village of Farnsfield lies 14 miles north-east of Nottingham and 4 miles north-west of Southwell. The village offers a small choice of pubs and restaurants, as well as some independent shops and supermarkets for picking up any essentials. For days out, visit the city of Nottingham, home to many superb attractions including the historic Nottingham Castle, Museum and Art Gallery, the Elizabethan structure of Wollaton Hall, and even the City of Caves, all well-worth a visit.
