• "What can I say… Ty Nant is absolutely stunning."

  The house is beautiful and the garden is perfect for both children and dogs. Very clean in arrival. The location allows for many beautiful walks. Very well equipped kitchen, it even had baking paper which I had forgotten! Sam, the owner is lovely and kept in contact to ensure we were enjoying our stay. • "We loved our stay at Ty Nant, we usually visit Anglesey twice a year and this is best holiday cottage we’ve had."

  It was warm, clean and comfortable and everything has been thought of and provided to make it feel really special. Quality furnishings and really comfy beds❤️ The views are absolutely stunning and even though the weather was hit and miss we took every opportunity to sit outside and soak it all up. Contact with Sam the owner was good and she checked that we were settled in and had everything that we needed, We will definitely be back for another visit and would highly recommend.

• "A superb house in a spectacular setting."

  I was born and brought up in Holyhead and regularly visit, staying with my mum. This time we were visiting with extended family and our new dog so we had to rent. Renting in my home town felt a bit weird but I couldn’t have been more pleased with the house. The host Sam was excellent. Not even Storm Lilian could dampen spirits.

• "This is THE most amazing place we have stayed in during more than 15 years of family holidays, I can’t imagine finding anywhere that’s more comfortable, welcoming and better equipped."

  The owner, Sam, obviously has a great passion for Ty Nant which is evident in the quality of the furniture, fittings and facilities provided as well as the standard to which the place is maintained and cleaned. She couldn’t be more considerate, thoughtful and helpful too. As a family group of eight with ages ranging from 2 to 75 years, there was plenty of space for all of us to enjoy time either individually or together, indoors as well as out. Whether it was local beaches, nature walks or attractions like the Sea Zoo, there were also plenty of activities that appealed to each of us. So, we found Ty Nant to be the most wonderfully comfortable and attractive cottage with an amazing owner who goes “the extra mile” in her efforts to ensure guests have a superb holiday, and which is perfectly located in ideal surroundings. Will we go back for a third time? You bet!! Allan.

• "We only got back yesterday."

  If I could give Ty Nant 10 stars I would. We didn't want to leave. Sam the host is an absolute star. Amazing property, stunning views, luxurious but homely, beds comfortable, bedding top quality and a lovely welcome pack. The dogs loved the enclosed garden. The house had everything you would need and more. South Stack Lighthouse in walking distance. Shops 10 minutes away by car. So much to see and do. 1 week wasn't enough. There was 7 of us plus 2 dogs more than enough room. Thank you Sam we would love to come back. I highly recommend Ty Nant.

  My only negative comment is the late arrival 5pm and early departure 9am . With two 90 year old parents, one with Alzheimer’s it’s difficult to get them motivated early morning. But we had the best family time together in a beautiful home with stunning views celebrating their platinum 70th wedding anniversary x

  The holiday home has been refurbished to a high standard and is in a beautiful setting. The trampoline in the front garden was certainly a hit with the children. It had everything that we needed for our stay and it was immaculately clean, probably the cleanest holiday let that we have stayed in.

• "We had expectations - two in fact."

  One was that weather would be horrible and the other was that the property would be superb. Both our expectations were exceeded. We've been to many great houses all over the UK and this one is up there with the very best. Warm, comfortable, clean and welcoming. What a pleasure to get back to Ty Nant after another storm lashed day. Sam, the owner, was always available and always helpful. Thoroughly recommend this place - hard to beat

  The accommodation is top class, expertly finished and spotlessly clean. We used two bedrooms which were spacious and well laid out. The ensuite bathrooms were excellent with wonderful monsoon showers. The kitchen had everything you could want for a self-catering stay and the lounge was spacious and comfortable. The views over to the bay were glorious and it was invigorating to see the sea crashing over the rocks on windy days. We couldn't fault anything about our stay, even the weather was kind on most days. Our hostess, Sam, was kind and helpful and provided a lovely welcome pack. Thanks Sam for a superb break!

• "Our 2nd stay at this fabulous place."

  It is by far the cleanest holiday home we have ever been to. The garden is very doggy friendly with absolutely no escape holes even for our little terrier!! 3 of the 4 bedrooms are en-suite and the kitchen is well stocked. The wifi and phone signal can be poor but that is the area and can't be helped and didnt spoil our enjoyment at all. We had already made a booking (made last year) for a 3rd visit next August 2023 - that is how much we love this special place! We were very sad therefore that our booking for August 2023 was cancelled and Ty Nant is no longer available as a holiday home. However we wish Sam the owner all the very best for the future and in the event that she changes her plans and continues to let Ty Nant as a holiday home - we will certainly be back!!

• "Our new favourite."

  In the 40 years since we married we have stayed on Anglesey at least once a year. We have stayed in every sort of cottage/ caravan and hotel. We really love Trearddur, but this has got to be our favourite. We stayed as a party of 11 in this cottage and next door for an anniversary celebration, there is literally something for everyone. We had runners, walkers, bird watchers, TV watchers and book readers....we also had some trampoliners by the end of the holiday. The cottage is comfortable clean and has literally everything you need and more. Sam, the host could not have been more helpful, she found us walks and even an Indian Takeaway that delivered. I would book to go again today, but it is incredibly popular, as soon as I see a vacancy I'll be in there. Karen

  The location was perfect - being able to see the sea was such a treat. We have never been in a cleaner or more well appointed property. It was absolutely spotless- the bathrooms gleamed and there was everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Beds were so comfortable. There was nothing to fault and we will certainly be recommending Ty Nant to family and friends. We also hope to return soon. Thank you to the owners for all their efforts and hard work in making this property such a gem.

• "Excellent cottage, furnished to a very high standard."

  The level of cleanliness was superb. We stayed over the Christmas period and it was a lovely touch to have a fully dressed Christmas tree in the lounge area. The welcome pack was a lovely gesture and also very appreciated. It is great to stay in a cottage that as plenty of car parking space and great exterior views of the surrounding countryside and ocean. A big thank you to Sam the owner for providing a level of comfort and quality that is rarely found.

  We stayed to celebrate my mums birthday. The house is fabulous and Sam the owner lives nearby and couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. The house has been finished and furnished to a very high spec. I wanted to stay in bed all weekend as the beds were so comfy and the down bedding was sumptuous. Highly recommend. We will be booking again

• "I think some sort of blind on the velux in the master bedroom would be good especially during the summer when the light will flood the bathroom and therefore the bedroom with early morning light."

  Also a small food waste caddy in the kitchen would be a good idea. The seating in the living room is actually a lot nicer than the property photos so perhaps upload more recent photo? A great property and a fabulous location

• "This is my second visit to this wonderful property and everything was perfect."

  There are amazing views from the windows and only a short walk to South Stacks Lighthouse and there are other great walks straight out of the door. It was always lovely to return after a day out to such a comfortable, well equipped property. This is a great place for a family get together with plenty of space. This is one of the best property’s I have ever stayed in and I would like to thank Sam the owner who is always very helpful if there are any issues. This is truly an amazing place to stay.

  The house was extremely clean and has everything you could possibly need and more! Plenty of space for us 6 adults, 2 children and 1 dog. The views were beautiful and we spent plenty of time in the garden with the kids on the trampoline. It’s in a lovely location and we had some lovely days out and visited some beautiful beaches. Sam was a wonderful host and went out of her way to make our holiday great. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we would all love to return again one day.

  Ideal location for birdwatching within walking distance of South Stack nature reserve. Such lovely clean and comfortable accommodation. A lot of effort has gone into making it Covid safe. I have been shielding for such a long time so staying at somewhere other than home was a big deal, but I felt reassured that this is a covid safe property. Lovely little touches such as the welcome tray, and the owner/caretaker Sam kept in contact to make sure we had everything we need. Loved it so much, that I'm looking forward to going back.

  The perfect thing about this house and location is the calm theat just seeps into you over the week. We were extremely sorry to leave, and as my grandson said, 'This is the best holiday home Grandma'.

  The property was really spacious with 4 very good sized bedrooms. The master bedroom was really special with stunning views of the beach. The cottage was really well equipped too with all kitchen ware etc that you need. Sam, the owner was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed and even left us some welcome gifts, which was a really nice touch. Would highly recommend Sykes Holiday Cottages, especially Ty Nant for a break with stunning views and lots of room to chill out in. We would love to go back!

  The views are simply stunning even in December. It’s so peaceful and was fantastic for our short break pre Christmas. The kids loved the trampoline and the dog had a great time running about like a mad thing and going on walks to lighthouse.   Everything was as good as we remembered it. Sam is so welcoming and keen that guests have a great stay. She arranged for a clean mid holiday including clean sheets and towels which was a real bonus. The house is so well equipped and comfortable that it really is a home away from home. We wanted for nothing. We have been to Anglesey over 15 times now but this is by far and away the best property we have stayed in. We hope to go back.

• "Fantastic house, great owner Sam, nothing too much trouble, weather helped as sun shined all week, but I would gladly stay here during winter, far reaching views, of mountains, hills, fields, and the sea."

  Huge garden, which was a hit with all ages, and what a bonus to take a short walk up to the RSPB protected South stack with mesmerising views and thousands of sea birds, wow. Without a doubt one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in over the years, and we have stayed at some belters. A short drive to Porth Dafarch beach, stunning with cliff walks too, and Trearddur Bay, brilliant safe beach for all. If you like a quality burger, head to Petes burger bar at Penrhos coastal park. We also had good food at Simply street food in Holyhead, very reasonable prices, and tried Catch 22 at Valley, around six mile away, pricier, but all seven of us had no complaints. If new to visiting Anglesey try to visit Raf Valley to see the various jets, I like to park up at the golf club at Rhosneigr and walk to the sand dunes, if jets taking off from there its a treat. And finally if reasonably fit, please take a walk up Holyhead mountain, and maybe down to North Stack, outstanding. enjoy every minute if you are lucky enough to rent this property, we will be back.

• "Easiest rating and review I've ever written!"

  First of all, Ty Nant was a beautiful home from home, just what you'd want for a weekend (or longer if you're lucky) retreat. All furnishings, fittings and appliances were first class and the setting of the cottage was second to none! Secondly, Sam looked after us so well, she was there to greet us on arrival, kept in touch during the weekend and we were lucky to see her before we left. She also went the extra mile when I left something behind (one of my annoying traits!). We'll definitely be back, sooner rather than later hopefully!
