Compact but still packing a punch, you’ll find this cosy home on the outskirts of Sorrento. It’s ideal for a small family, but given the beds are all in one bedroom and it’s a slight squeeze, we think it makes a perfect getaway for two. Outdoors, the private pool and sun-kissed terraces help you make the most of the Mediterranean climate. Sure, there’s no oven here, but with Sorrento on your doorstep, dining out is sure to be on the menu – we recommend popping along to Piazza Tasso, a cafe-lined square serving up a true taste of Italy.

Home truths:
*The swimming pool, available to use between 1st April and 31st October, isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals. *The owner lives in the villa next door, but won't disturb you unless you need any help during your stay.
