This property enjoys a secluded rural location, in a quiet valley right on the edge of Grizedale Forest. The forest can be accessed directly from the cottage, via a bridleway which leads directly from the front door. The forest has a fantastic visitors centre, which offers a range of walking and cycling routes, a sculpture trail, cafe, children s adventure playground, Segway hire and a Go Ape adventure centre with high ropes and thrilling zip wire. The village of Satterthwaite and Hawkshead are nearby, and both Coniston Water and Lake Windermere are just a short drive away, offering a range of boat trips and water sports. This property is a typical 17th century Lakeland farmhouse, which offers accommodation for four people. On entering the property, guests will come to the welcoming open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its cosy open fire, comfy sofas, TV/DVD, and CD, making this a relaxing space to enjoy after a day of sightseeing or hiking. The dining table to one side of the room seats four, whilst the kitchen area, to the rear of the room, is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. The property s two bedrooms are located on the first floor: a twin and a double room which are both comfortably and tastefully decorated. The bathroom is also located on the first floor and shower over the bath and WC. Outside, the property has beautiful orchard gardens with large lawn areas, which make a lovely place in which to relax and enjoy the tranquillity. A barn is available for bike storage and also houses the washing machine.
