Sandwich is an historic town resting in the Dover District of Kent, positioned along the River Stour. The town grew in wealth thanks to shipbuilding for the monarch before the establishments of a regular navy, being one of the five original Cinque Ports. The town is also the home of The Royal St George's Golf Club which hosts The Open every four years, perfect for any keen golfers or fans of the sport. Discover plenty of excellent restaurants and pubs, as well as shops and supermarkets, with a host of surrounding attractions.
