Further afield, get your blood pumping with a day at Adrenalin Quarry or enjoy dinner and cocktails in buzzing Plymouth (12 miles). Take it slow with a wander around the grounds of National Trust s Cotehele Mill (3.5 miles), or build sandcastles and splash in the sea on the South Cornish coast; Looe and Polperro are both within 20 miles.
