The peaceful village of Fonthill Gifford is located within beautiful countryside near the border between Dorset and Wiltshire. A popular pub sits within the village and is the perfect stop off during long country walks. For further amenities head to nearby Tisbury, which has a great selection of artisan stores as well as those selling essential supplies. Also, easily accessible is the market town of Shaftesbury, where you will find stunning views across the Blackmore Vale and streets lined with historic cottages. Admire the iconic Gold Hill or visit the museum and abbey ruins to learn about this area s rich heritage. Slightly further afield are Longleat house and safari park, The Stourhead Estate and the cathedral city of Salisbury. A private gravel driveway and patio area leads to the entrance into this detached former barn. Once inside you are met with a useful utility room with washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and separate WC, this is the ideal place to wipe off muddy paws and boots after a good walk. Next, step into the stunning open plan kitchen/diner, with a vaulted ceiling, a bright and airy ambience owing to its large dual aspect glazed doors, this sociable space is the ideal spot for enjoying leisurely meals. The kitchen area is equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and microwave. Just next door and accessed via a short flight of steps is the inviting lounge, which has a wood burner and SmartTV so you can snuggle up in front of your favourite shows. The first of two staircases lead to a king size zip and link bedroom (which can be made into a 2ft 6 twin bed on request), this pretty room also has an en suite shower and WC. A second staircase rises from the kitchen/diner and leads to a further king size zip and link bedroom (which can be made into a 2ft 6 twin bed on request), this has an en suite wet room and WC. Heading outside from the utility room you can enjoy drinks or a light meal on the patio, whilst looking over paddocks, often home to a flock of sheep a true rural idyll! There is private parking for two cars on the driveway or in an adjacent car port. Regret no BBQ's due to the thatch.
