Nestled on a ridge in the glorious Herefordshire countryside, gazing out towards Ross on Wye and beyond, this beautiful cottage is the ultimate rural escape. With charm and elegance oozing from its walls, you can’t help but fall a little bit in love with this home from the moment you step foot inside. The main living room boasts oak beams and a traditional fireplace – just the spot to hunker down with loved ones during winter months, relaxing as the fire crackles and casts an amber glow around the room. Step to the patio doors, and you’re greeted with stunning countryside vistas as far as the eye can see. Not to be outdone, the outdoor space is perfect for warmer months – light the barbecue and settle down on the locally made pine table and benches (salvaged from the owner’s woodland) for an alfresco meal to remember. The peace and quiet in this location is something you’ll savour, with the delicate notes of birdsong providing the soundtrack to your stay. As daylight fades, soak up the sunset from either the courtyard terrace or orchard – if it starts to get a little chilly, the fire pit is ready and waiting... to warm you up as you watch the sky dance through an array of colours. With comfort at its core and thoughtful touches throughout, this cottage will live long in your memory, even after you’ve returned home.

Originally a medieval hunting ground for Henry VIII, the forest boasts a rich and varied history, sourcing timber for Tudor warships and housing iron and coal mines in Victorian times. Today, the forest is back to its natural state, a lush and peaceful adventure...
