    There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home.

    You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.

    There's a walk-in dressing area here.

    Parking in Rome can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible.

    The Roma Ostiense train station, located less than 500 metres away, provides access to both the Termini railway station and Fiumicino airport.

Testaccio is built on food, or rather, food containers. Founded in first century BC as a river port, it was where Rome's supplies of olive oil, grain and wine arrived into the city. Everything was transported in terracotta amphorae, which were smashed on arrival and discarded.
