Canna Lily is one of the smallest places we have in Rome, but that shouldn’t put you off. The atmosphere is almost overwhelmingly pleasant - it’s hard to find fault. Practically, beyond the issue of space, it also does very well. The kitchen is decently sized given the confines, and its position between the St. Peter’s and the Tiber makes it a great base to see both the Vatican and the historic centre of the city, on the opposite bank of the river.

*This place really is very small and the only communal area is the kitchen
*When we measured it the wi-fi was pretty slow - only 6Mbps
*There's no lift and the entrance is on the fourth floor
*Unfortunately there's no dishwasher
