It offers panoramic views of the ancient English Heritage site of Easby Abbey, enjoy wonderful riverside walks along the River Swale, peruse the museums, monuments, and a selection of fine eateries, restaurants, markets and shops. Its cobbled streets and narrow alleys or 'wynds' enshrine over nine centuries of history. Richmond is the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and offers a perfect base to explore the treasures of the past. Discover the oldest Georgian theatre in England, Middleham Castle and Bolton Castle. There is a former Victorian railway station nearby, which is now a thriving hub of artisan bakers, brewers, tea room, cinema, art gallery and sports facilities. This attractive Grade II listed stone built cottage forms part of this delightful courtyard setting, set a stone's throw from the majestic Easby Abbey ruins.
