You can feel this villa’s historical past, with stone-vaulted ceilings, romantic arches and traditional wooden beams whilst modernist elements including an emerald glass staircase and a stainless steel mezzanine radiate the open spaces. Each room has been individually considered so that the blend of natural and design-focused materials make you and your guests feel part of the Cretan landscape. The professional kitchen is kitted out for preparing a Meditteranean feast to be enjoyed on the large dining table - the in-house wine selection of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Syrah will complement perfectly.

Start your day off with a few laps in the crystalline-blue pool that’s a near colour match for the cerulean water of the Aegean. Or take in the sea breeze from the beautiful terrace furnished with Indonesian wood chairs, overlooking the rugged cove below. If you’re an early riser, head down to the beach for a morning yoga class at the Baja Beach Club (a ten-minute drive away) and treat yourself to endless views of the powdery sands.
