Cottage in North Cornwall: Port Isaac
addremove
Situated in the centre of Port Isaac, this cottage is perfect for soaking up the atmopshere in this working fishing port which is a jewel in Cornwall s crown and is known to many as the fictional Port Wenn from TV's Doc Martin. Popular with visitors, it has changed little over the generations. This small port offers a mix of bistros, inns, restaurants and independent stores. Enjoy a boat trip to fish or soak up the scenery. Close by are Rock, Padstow and Polzeath, offering a great mix of scenery, food and surfing. For cyclists, try the nearby Camel Trail. Other attractions to explore include many National Trust properties, Pencarrow House, golf at St Kew, go karting, The Eden Project and many fabulous local beaches like Daymer Bay, Poleath, Bedruthan Steps and Watergate Bay. Enter through a porch into the main hallway where there is space for hats and coats. This stunning period property has a large hallway leading through to the kitchen. Off to the right, you will find the large open plan living/dining room with plenty of comfy seating, a cosy wood burner, a TV for watching all your favourite programmes, and a beautiful bay window maximising the far reaching sea views. The dining area has seating for 11 and is the perfect place to enjoy a home cooked meal or drinks around the table. Moving through the hallway, you will find the large kitchen with a breakfast seating area a great sunny spot to enjoy your morning coffee. The kitchen offers a Belfast sink, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Moving upstairs to the first floor, you will find the first of two bathrooms with a free standing bath, separate shower and WC. You have two bedrooms on this floor: the first, a bunk room with an additional single bed and the next, a double bedroom with sea views from a beautiful bay window. Up the second staircase and onto the top floor, you'll find a shower room with a shower and WC, two twin bedrooms, and one double again with sea views. Outside to the rear, you have a grassed area and a patio with garden furniture; to the front, there are picnic benches overlooking the sea. Parking is available via a choice of long stay car parks within walking distance (charges apply).
