As suggested by the name, Harbour House is situated adjacent to the harbour in the delightful village of Porlock Weir and in fact used to provide accommodation for the former harbour master. As such, the property is extremely conveniently located for accessing village amenities that include two restaurants and a pub (all dog-friendly) and a small but charming range of shops.
Truly a terrific destination for nature enthusiasts, with a host of wonderful woodland and coastal walks surrounding the village and direct access to Exmoor National Park, Harbour House is also set just 2 miles from the larger village of Porlock and 7 miles from the extensive resources of Minehead.

Location
Harbour House Apartment is situated in the middle of Porlock Weir on the stunning Exmoor National Park coast.
Exmoor National Park countryside and beach walks are close by and we are just off the South West Coast Path and an hour's walk to Culbone Church and Hurlstone Point.
Harbour House Coffee Shop is proud to be a South West Coast Path Stamping Point, we stamp walkers SWCP Passports and sell them to the many walkers who pass through and stop off for a rest and refreshment.
The dog-friendly Bottom Ship Pub and the Porlock Weir Hotel, a glass shop and small art galleries are close by.
Our own Harbour House Coffee Shop is on the ground floor, try our great coffee and tea from local company D J Miles, breakfast, brunch light bites, cakes and our scrumptious Cream Tea, freshly baked scones with Rhoda Clotted Cream and Strawerry jam!

Porlock Weir Charters run fishing and sightseeing/pleasure trips in the Spring and Summer months. It really is a fantastic place to bring the whole family.
The village of Porlock is approximately 1.5 miles from Harbour House and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, pharmacy, Post Office, cash machine, garage, hardware shop, Porlock Visitor Centre and a range of independent shops and eateries.
The shops in Porlock Weir and Porlock are usually open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops may reduce their opening hours at weekends or out of season.
Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 7 miles from Harbour House. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Lidl, Tesco and Morrisons are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.
