addremove
Situated in this charming Cornish fishing village of Polruan, this traditional cottage is perfect for a coastal family holiday and is less than 200 metres from Polruan Landing where guests can take the passenger ferry to Fowey to experience the bars, restaurants and shops. The starting point for the South West Coast Path can be found at the top of St Saviour s Hill where you can take in some stunning coastal and countryside scenery and enjoy a walk or a cycle. For a day out, why not drive to Bodinnick where you will find Ferryside , previously the home of Daphne du Maurier, where she wrote her first book. Further afield there are plenty of places to visit and things to do, why take the brewery tour in St Austell (19 miles) or visit the Eden project and/or the Lost Gardens of Heligan (25 miles). This traditional cottage is beautifully finished inside and has accommodation spread over three floors. On entering the property, you will find yourself in the welcoming kitchen/diner, which is well equipped with everything you could need for a self catering stay and there s plenty of room to both cook and eat with a dining table seating six. The lounge is a bright and cosy space with plenty of seating and a multi fuel stove to cosy up around after a day s exploring. There s also a TV if you fancy watching a film or you can admire the fantastic views from the window seat. Upstairs on the first floor are two bedrooms, both beautifully finished with little thoughtful touches and king size beds. They also have wonderful views of the river and the master bedroom has a wall mounted Smart TV and separate shower room with WC. Up another staircase to the second floor is a very pretty and light twin bedroom, again with waterside views, from which you can access the family bathroom, complete with bath for a relaxing soak. Stepping outside to the front of the property, which is accessible from the kitchen/diner, there is a terrace with garden furniture and more of those views, making it an ideal spot for some lunch or afternoon tea.
