For culture and shopping, Plymouth is only 7 miles away, with the historic Barbican and its restaurants, shops, bars, and National Marine Aquarium. You can walk up onto the Hoe with its swimming pool, cafes, and bars and Open Air cinema at the Lido throughout August.
