A full playpark with slides and swings lets you know this place is family-friendly, and the beach is just a 20-metre walk down a traffic-free path. If you want to get out and explore a little more of Crete, the buzzing resort town of Rethimno is 9km away, home to bars, restaurants and a long sandy stretch of beach.
