Either way, two entirely self-sufficient sections make this home perfectly suited to groups of friends or multi-generational families who may want some time to themselves every once in a while.

A courtyard garden filled with mature trees makes picking out a shaded spot a cinch, while the swimming pool is perfect for cooling off in between sunbathing sessions. Step out into the streets, and you'll find a vibrant village where life hasn't changed much over the years. In Pigi, you'll find a couple of bakeries, a pair of mini-markets and two traditional taverns. The nearest beaches are just a short drive away, while the perfectly preserved Venetian harbour of Rethymno is less than fifteen minutes away.
