In a quiet spot on the outskirts of the village of Ludgvan, this timber lodge sits in delightful gardens overlooking a water lily festooned pond humming with wildlife. Inspired by the essence of an oriental tea house, this retreat features a minimalist layout that epitomises peace and tranquillity, providing a much needed escape from the bustle of daily life. Offering picturesque views of the valley, it seamlessly merges into the lush landscape, creating a harmonious and serene environment. Just under 3 miles distant is the coastal village of Marazion home to St Michael s Mount rising majestically from the sea. Visit Penzance (4 miles) and book a visit to the Jubilee Pool the UK s largest art deco sea water lido and geothermally heated pool. Along the coast, the port of Newlyn (6 miles) is home to some great fish restaurants and Mousehole with its picturesque harbour is worth exploring (8 miles). Enter the lodge from the decking through the double French doors into the kitchen. On fine days open the doors and bring the outside in. Large picture windows throughout allow plenty of light to flood in but privacy is assured in this tucked away location. The kitchen comes fully equipped for dining in and a doorway leads through to the spacious living room with a beamed ceiling and triple aspect windows offering delightful views of the pond. Adorned with antique oriental furnishings and a generously sized leather sofa with two armchairs, this room is a haven for relaxation. Similarly, the double bedroom boasts triple aspect windows with serene views over the pond, and rugs and polished bamboo flooring continuing the Japanese theme. A contemporary shower room exudes a tropical ambience, courtesy of its half glazed ceiling, offering a glimpse of lush fronds from a New Zealand Tree Fern gracefully extending overhead. The indulgent double head shower, complemented by the elegance of marble flooring and the comfort of underfloor heating for cooler days, completes the amenities, all in all ensuring a delightful place to stay. Step out onto the deck provided with all weather cane easy chairs plus a small dining set for al fresco meals enabling guests to linger in this peaceful sun trap whilst listening to the sounds of nature surrounding them. Graduated steps with a curved handrail lead you through an archway down to the parking area or alternatively, a second step free route is possible via a slight incline off to one side. From your doorstep enjoy access to the 5 acre private woodlands and tropical gardens, inviting you to wander freely along the footpaths and observe the diverse wildlife that calls this place home. Keep an eye out for the enchanting sight of badgers, foxes, squirrels, bats and nesting buzzards whilst being captivated by the beauty of exotic plants sourced from various corners of the globe. You may even get the chance to hand feed visiting creatures from the deck of the lodge so bring peanuts.
