For lovely days out, visit some of the areas loveliest Lakes including Ullswater, Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite, all just a short drive away, offering kayaking, boating and steamer ferry rides. For keen cyclists, Whitbarrow Village resort is also located on the National Cycle Network. The iconic fells of Blencathra, Skiddaw and Helvellyn are a short drive, along with other classic hiking routes. A wide variety of tea rooms, pubs and restaurants are close by, along with Basecamp farm shop if you want to stock up on some fresh local produce. On arrival at the village, enjoy a seamless check in experience with the reception in the former hotel entrance hall, where you will be given the keys to your duplex apartment.
