This holiday escape is only 5 miles from the market town of Penrith, where you will find a nice selection of restaurants, independent shops and cafes. Enjoy a day out rambling or visit Ullswater s Pooley Bridge (5.5 miles). Take a peaceful walk along its shores and visit the awe inspiring Aira Force Waterfall (12 miles). Attempt the impressive fell of Helvellyn (13.5 miles); a stunning peak to satisfy even the expert hiker. You may prefer to explore the quieter Eden Valley on your doorstep, or Lowther Castle and Gardens, only a mile away, where there is a fabulous adventure playground and a lovely tearoom. Walking into this well presented sandstone cottage, you will find a useful boot room with a Belfast sink and washer/dryer, which leads into a charming lounge with comfortable seating, Smart TV/DVD, wood burner and feature beams.
