Throw a lead on the dog, lace up your boots and head out to explore without jumping in the car. Patterdale is superbly located for those who love walking. Walk from your door to the mighty Helvellyn range (5.5 miles) for panoramic views, lap the 20 mile banks of Ullswater, or wander to the bustling village of Glenridding (1.5 miles). Glenridding is filled with eateries and from here you can hop on an Ullswater Steamer with everyone in tow, to enjoy a day on the water. Stop off and visit the waterfall at Aira Force (4.5 miles) and find a good picnic spot. If you fancy making a splash, hire your own boats and take to the water for a fun filled, family friendly day out. Head inside via steep external and steps make yourself at home. Wander in through the back door to find yourself in the kitchen/diner where a lovely welcome pack awaits. Sleek and spacious, the kitchen area has an oven and hob which sits alongside a microwave, dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer. A large utility cupboard contains a useful washing machine and tumble dryer. Enjoy meals together in the dining area either looking out to the beautiful views or enjoying the warmth of the woodburner. If you re up early, sit with a coffee on the window seat for a relaxing start to your day. After dinner, head through to the lounge which boasts a wood burner and stunning views of St Sunday Crag, Fairfield Horseshoe, Gavel Pike and more. When it s time for bed, the first of the four bedrooms resides on the ground floor. This double bedroom has its own en suite with a bath with shower over and a separate WC. The remaining three bedrooms reside on the first floor. The king size bedroom has fell views and an en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. It also has a characterful sloping ceiling, please take care. The twin bedroomhas lovely views and sloping ceilings due to the nature of its position in the home. Finally, the bunk bed room is suited to little ones. The top bunk has restricted head room as does the single due to the sloping ceiling and snug space. Completing the first floor is the family bathroom with an electric shower over the bath. Spend evenings outside and enjoy time in the garden. Unenclosed, sloping and with steps, keep an eye on children and dogs when they are playing. Great for storing muddy boots, an outbuilding provides space to keep outerwear. There is space for parking three cars at the garage (two inside the garage and one across the back of the parked cars).
