There's something lovably retro about this large apartment, from the bold colours and jazzy patterns to the eclectic selection of chairs positioned by the glass doors in the living room. Open these up and you'll step out onto the private patio space, where you can soak up the sun and admire the impressive mountain views — there's even a fire pit out there for when nighttime rears its head again. Although it's a charming space in and of itself, it's the communal facilities that guests get access to that are perhaps most impressive. The swimming pool will really come into its own on sweltering Palm Springs afternoons, as will the loungers and hot tub. We also like the practice putting green — mini clubs are provided — which should get you warmed up ahead of a visit to one of the seven golf courses that can be reached in fifteen minutes' drive. If you're not a sports person, there are plenty of hiking routes nearby, as well as restaurants and galleries on North Palm Canyon Drive, which can be reached at the end of your street.

*At full occupancy, two guests will need to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room
