Set in colourful gardens, edged with mellow stone walls, this trullo is a wonderful place to relax. There's a swimming pool, a barbecue for tasty lunches and a shaded dining area. Inside, there's character aplenty, including exposed stone arches and an open fire. We love that both bedrooms open out onto the terrace, so there shouldn't be any quarrels about who has which room (though one has the advantage, it has an en-suite – maybe keep that quiet). When you're ready to explore what the local area offers, head to Ostuni, just 5 kilometres away. Your host also offers a complimentary guided tour of Alberobello (though it's quite a ride from this home).
