Set in a bright garden, bordered by vineyards and fruit trees, this elegant country house is the perfect base for a holiday in Italy's Marche region. Built towards the end of 1800 but boasting all modern comforts, it has a relaxed, homely interior with exposed brick walls, large windows and a beautiful open kitchen. The real star here though is the view. Sit in the shade of the ancient oak tree or on the loggia's comfy sofas and look out at the hilltops and verdant valleys that stretch out before you. The pool is pretty special too, with a teak deck and wide roman steps that are perfect for keeping cool while sunbathing. The hot tub, meanwhile, is the perfect place to retreat with a glass of wine while you watch the sunset over the hills. If you fancy a day by the sea, the Adriatic coast is less than twenty minutes away by car and you’re also five minutes from the beautiful medieval town of Offida – a great place to stock up on goodies for your alfresco barbecue feasts.
