Area
The Domesday Book lists Norley as part of the Kingsley manor. Richard De Kingsleigh received the manor of Norley later in Henry the Third's reign, and Roger De Norley received a land grant inside the property. Delamere Forest, which offers wonderful dog-friendly walking pathways, is just on the village's boundary. The nearby Blakemere Shopping Village offers an antique emporium, independent stores, a variety of sports like Segway riding and archery, as well as a play area for kids. The popular Salt Museum, the nearby Oulton Park racing circuit, and the historic salt mine town of Northwich with its three times weekly open market, monthly artisan and farmers market, Victorian black and white buildings, and pedestrianised shopping area are both within easy reach. The historic Anderton Boat Lift, which connects the Trent and Mersey canal to the Weaver by a functional 50-foot lift dating back to 1875, is located in the Anderton Nature Park, which is also on the outskirts of Northwich. Numerous attractions, including the ancient city of Chester, the Trafford Centre, and Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village, as well as National Trust estates including Arley Hall, Tatton Park, Dunham Massey, Quarry Bank, and Speke Hall are all reachable by car. Numerous golf courses are located close by in the North Wales beaches of Tarvin, Delamere Forest, Hartford, Sandiway, and Frodsham. Local train stations may connect to the big cities of Liverpool and Manchester, which provide fantastic day trips for the entire group to enjoy. An excellent starting point for visiting this region of the North West of England is Norley.
