Enjoying an exceptional location near the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, with views of the famous peak available from the traditional interior and garden, Llys Elen is a fantastic base for a group or family of six.

Step into the living/kitchen room, where you can conjure up delicious feasts in the well-equipped kitchen or relax in the sitting area in front of a much-loved movie on the DVD player as the woodburning stove crackles nearby.

Settle down to dinner at the dining table for six or dine alfresco out on your rear patio or raised terrace with a backdrop of breath-taking mountain views.

The home also offers an additional sitting room with plush seating and a woodburning stove, perfect for snuggling up with a good book.

Climb the stairs up to the first floor, where you can wash away the day in the family bathroom, before retiring to one of three well-presented double bedrooms, one of which has its own en-suite shower room.

There are a wealth of scenic walking and cycling trails available right from your doorstep, including the renowned Watkins Path adjacent to your holiday home.

The village of Beddgelert is a short journey away where you can visit the grave of the legendary faithful hound, Gelert, join the Welsh Highland Railway on a steam locomotive, and find walking trails through the Craflwyn and Beddgelert nature reserve.

For your local amenities, head into Llanberis, where you can enjoy a wide variety of watersports on Llyn Peris, explore the World Heritage site of Dinorwig Quarry, delve into history at the National Slate Museum and Dolbadarn Castle.

Those feeling adventurous can tackle the famous Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Peak, whilst if you came for the views but not the hike, there is a train available from Llanberis to take you up to the summit.

Continue onto Blaenau Ffestiniog, where you can explore the underground mines at Zip World Llechwedd, or head to Betws-y-Coed for treetop adventures Zip World Fforest and hikes up to Swallow Falls Waterfall.

The tiny hamlet of Nant Gwynant is situated in the Nant Gwynant Valley, surrounded by some of the most dramatic and beautiful scenery in the whole of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Overlooked by the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Yr Aran and Moel Hebog mountains and with wonderful wooded valleys, towering rocky slopes, hidden lakes and waterfalls all providing magnificent views, this is a fantastic location for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Enjoy climbing, walking and mountain biking, with one of the main routes for ascending Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), via the famous Watkin Path, starting in the valley. Nearby is Beddgelert, regarded as one of the most attractive villages in the United Kingdom and named after the famous legend of Gelert the dog. This lovely riverside village boasts quality pubs and eating houses as well as excellent outdoor pursuit centres, offering a variety of activities. Close by are wonderful beaches, castles, National Trust properties, slate caverns, mountain railways and the Portmeirion Italianate Village.
