This superb cottage is ideally located in the Northumberland National Park and provides an excellent base to explore the site of the Drake Stone, alleged to have special healing powers and views of the medieval ruins of Harbottle Castle. Enjoy a day trip to Alnwick Castle, no stranger to film crews, featuring in Harry Potter, Downton Abbey and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Discover the perfect dark skies as part of the International Dark Sky Park, Europe s largest area of protected night sky and officially the best place in England to view the stars. Explore the unique countryside of Northumberland National Park including wild moorland and ancient woodlands. Head over to Holy Island which is of significant historical interest, discover Kielder Forest and explore the stunning heritage coastline. Upon entering the beautiful hallway, guests will immediately notice the well designed touches, which feature throughout the cottage. The lounge provides a comfortable place to relax and catch up with friends and family, with sofas arranged around the cosy wood burner and smart TV, including full sky package. The stylish country kitchen also has a wood burner and a dining area with seating for everyone. With duck egg blue cupboards and a slate worktop, it's equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, washing/dryer, fridge/freezer and a Nespresso coffee machine. Everything required for holiday dining, and to help with the cleaning after there is a dishwasher. Also on the ground floor is a handy bathroom with shower over bath. The cottage has three bedrooms, one king size, one double and one twin, all with plenty of storage. Completing the accommodation is the shower room with shower and WC, and a separate WC. Outside at the front there is a seating area to enjoy a coffee and watch the world go by, and to the rear of the property you can relax in the local Pubs beer garden which has been recently refurbished and boasts an outdoor pizzeria! There is also a small shop selling most necessities and a range of fresh local produce. There is also roadside parking outside the property for two cars, on the quiet country lane.
