This delightful cottage is situated in a mews in the heart of this traditional market town, popular for picturesque walks along the banks of the River Coquet, a scenic golf course and fabulous walking and cycling trails. Being so close to the breath taking moorland of the Simonside Hills and the stunning Northumberland National Park, it is the perfect base for the adventurous, nature lovers and anyone in search of relaxation. A visit to Rothbury s extraordinary Cragside House, gardens and woodland will leave you educated and relaxed and after a day out exploring, there is a range of independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes to enjoy from your doorstep, the closest pub and café are within 35 yards. Visit Alnwick for its magnificent Castle, stroll on Alnmouth's stunning sandy beach and discover Northumberland's famous dark skies. Walk up three steps to the front door of this charming cottage and you will come into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With a cosy, cottage feel, there is a warming wood burner set in an original feature fireplace with comfortable sofas to settle into while you watch your favourite series on the Smart TV. The small, delightful kitchen has everything you will need, including an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge and a separate ice maker. There is a breakfast bar with stools where you can enjoy breakfast or an evening meal. The TV can easily be rotated to face either the lounge or breakfast bar. The spiral staircase leads up to the bedrooms. The light and airy first bedroom has a super king size zip and link bed (which can be made into a twin on request) and a Smart TV so you can enjoy a lie in checking the news and weather. It s complemented with a dressing table and chair. The second bedroom has twin beds and a view of Blaeberry Hill north of Rothbury from the skylight window. The contemporary shower room has a large walk in shower and a WC. Variable lighting means you can choose a colour to suit your mood. In the courtyard, there is a small bistro table and chairs, complemented with potted plants, where you can enjoy an evening drink or your morning cuppa. Just 20 yards from the front door is the very pleasant high street with numerous bench seats, allowing stunning views across the village with the Simonside Hills as the backdrop. You can store your bikes safely in the bike shed situated within the courtyard. Free off road parking is available just 20 yards away.
