Close to this lovely cottage you can enjoy stunning walks along the River Coquet, which also offers some prime fishing opportunities. The quaint village of Warkworth is just half a mile away and offers a great range of pubs, restaurants and independent shops. There s also a wealth of countryside to explore, as well as an exceptional beach with miles of sandy dunes and spectacular views. There are lots of water sports activities that take place on this stretch of coast, including surfing and canoeing. Within easy reach is Warkworth Hermitage, a medieval cave and chapel of a solitary holy man which is accessible by boat. Among other highlights are Warkworth Castle, the popular seaside town of Amble and Coquet Island. On entering this spacious and attractive property, which is accessed via a gravel farm track and retains plenty of original features including exposed beams, you will find yourself in the traditional and welcoming lounge/diner. With comfy seating and a fantastic wood burner, this is a lovely space to relax in. There s also a charming dining area which is ideal for dining in style. Exploring further, you will find a stylishly designed kitchen which is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, family toaster, and cafetiere. Going up to the first floor you will find two cosy bedrooms. There s a master bedroom with double bed, feature fireplace, and an en suite bathroom complete with a freestanding bath with hand held shower and WC. The second bedroom is a comfy twin room with feature fireplace and an en suite shower room with an open walk in shower area, which is accessed via one small step, with a waterfall shower and separate hand held shower, as well as a WC. Heading up to the second floor you will find a fantastic and spacious open plan lounge and living area, with original exposed wooden beams. With plenty of comfortable seating, TV and DVD, this is a great space to relax in at the end of a fabulous day. There is a separate living area with a sofa bed, a bookcase with a selection of novels, a feature fireplace and the property s original granary wheel. There is also a shower room complete with WC. Stepping outside, there is a delightful enclosed patio area at the front of the cottage with a wooden table, chairs and chiminea. Parking is available for one car at the front of the cottage.
