Part of a hamlet of farm cottages, this charming property benefits from uninterrupted views across beautiful open countryside to the nearby hills. It is just 4 miles from Cornhill on Tweed, with a popular village store and deli selling tasty local produce, and a friendly pub/restaurant. Drive to Kelso (10 miles) and Wooler (12 miles) for a range of independent shops, pubs, and restaurants plus the world class Northumberland Anglo Saxon Museum and English whisky distillery Ad Gefrin. Head into the Cheviot Hills, the Northumberland National Park (11.5 miles) and make the most of the Pennine Way for scenic walking and cycling routes. Within a 35 mile radius, discover historic castles, like Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh along the coastline, and Alnwick Castle and Gardens to the south, while Berwick upon Tweed has something for everyone. Step into the hallway of this lovely single storey cottage where you can leave your outdoor clothing and shoes. The open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area beyond is filled with natural light and home comforts. Sink into one of the comfortable sofas to rest and unwind after your day s adventures, warming your toes in front of the wood burner. For your entertainment, there is a Freeview TV and DVD, plus a choice of books. The well equipped kitchen comprises an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. The dining table seats eight for sociable meals together. There are four bedrooms with two bedrooms located at each end of the cottage, separated by the lounge space in the middle. There is one super king size zip and link bed (which can be made up as twin beds on request) with an en suite shower and WC, two double bedrooms with an en suite shower and WC, and a twin bedroom with an en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Outside and to the front of the cottage, there is an enclosed, gravelled patio garden, safe for children and dogs, with a picnic table where you can dine alfresco and sit with your drinks to gaze at the views towards the Cheviot Hills.
