Charming stone built farm cottage conversion set in beautiful countryside on the edge of the Northumberland National Park and surrounded by glorious views of the Cheviot Hills. The award winning shop/café in Cornhill (4 miles) sells everything you need and is a great place for coffee and lunch. Head into nearby Wooler, the Gateway to the Cheviots for walking, cycling, golf, riverside picnics and a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Kelso s historic market town and racecourse offer a fun day out, with fishing on the Tweed and great places to eat. The Pennine Way ends in nearby Kirk Yetholm (5 miles) with many paths leading on from there. Discover historic Berwick (17 miles), the stunning coastline, plus Holy Island (20 miles), Bamburgh (25 miles) and Alnwick (30 miles). Step up two shallow steps into this warm and cosy cottage with underfloor heating throughout making it an inviting option all year round. Enter the utility/boot room where you can sit down to pull off your walking boots and hang outdoor clothing, and there is also a useful washing machine and sink here. A door off this room leads to a WC. Head into the bright and airy open plan lounge kitchen/diner with rounded stone wall features adding to the character. Relax on comfortable seating to watch TV or head outside through the sliding lounge doors to dine alfresco. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a hearty meal, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, and a dishwasher and you can sit together at the dining table. A door from the lounge leads to a small hallway where you will find the two bedrooms. There is a super king size bedroom with sliding doors leading to the patio area and an en suite shower room with a shower and WC. The second room is a twin bedroom which also has a sofa bed for an additional guest and an en suite shower room with a shower and WC. Outside, there is a garden table and four folding wooden chairs for al fresco dining plus two bench seats perfect for sitting with your coffee, the views, and a good book. You can move the chairs around outside if you want to chase the sunshine. The garden is fenced all around however please be aware that it is not fully enclosed. There is a useful outside tap for cleaning boots and paws.
