It might seem like a strange place to start, but Ensign’s kitchen is quite remarkable. Of course, not everyone will appreciate the over-the-top design, but the commitment is undeniable. All in all, it comes together well, with a real sense of playfulness. It’s small enough that long-term stays might end with you feeling a bit cooped up, but for shorter stays, it’s more than enough.

*As the flat is on the ground floor, there are bars on the windows
*It's quite a small flat, without a real living room
*There's no dishwasher or laundry facilities
*There isn't much going on in the immediate area, and it takes half an hour to get to the city centre on the metro
