Mawnan Smith is a lovely little village sitting at the mouth of the Helford River in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has a classic bar, a restaurant, a church, and a few stores. The surrounding region is ideal for ramblers, since there are several creekside and forest walks, as well as subtropical gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah. The Helford River also provides chances for kayaking, sailing, and fishing.
