Built in 1874 by a local stone merchant Samson Deeley, Deeley house sits on the A6 road between Matlock and Bakewell. Nearby, is the quiet village of Two Dales, which provides a pub, a supermarket, a Post Office, garden centre and a butchers. From here, you can discover the stately homes of Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House, the market town of Bakewell and the wonderful spa town of Matlock, each offering different days out. Defined by its natural beauty, the Peak District National Park is within walking distance, scattered with steep valleys, historic landmarks and wooded dales. From the spectacular countryside, to the quaint towns and villages, you ll never be short of things to do here. The region provides the ultimate outdoor playground for all ages, with activities in abundance including; climbing, cycling, running and hiking. From the rolling valleys of the White Peak, to the harsh, craggy edges of the Dark Peak, the variety on offer from north to south is simply overwhelming. The local town of Matlock offers a beautiful festive market each year as well as the outstanding Chatsworth Christmas market.
