Atop a hill, wedged between the gulfs of Naples and Salerno, this villa in the Italian countryside is all about location. Walk to Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, where the mighty Vesuvius lies to one side, to dine at gastronomic eateries or drive to Sorrento for a hit of architecture and a sample – or two – of their famous limoncello. Though little ones might find the spiral staircase challenging and the style might not be to everyone's taste, the villa is spacious and comfortable, and the swimming pool, beautiful vine-covered pergola, and outdoor kitchen will make up for it.
